The Technology

The technology we use is called near-field communication (NFC) and blockchain technology to tokenize physical items and IRL experiences. Our partner, IYK offers a variety of NFC- and blockchain-enabled products that can be linked to NFTs, attendance tokens, web links, and other exclusive content.

NFC chips can be placed onto a variety of surfaces, including apparel, wood, glass, rubber, and plastic.

A majority of modern smartphones are equipped with NFC reader capabilities (the same scanning technology that Apple Pay and Google Pay use). Tapping the NFC chip in an IYK item with your phone allows you to activate the chip and claim the exclusive content stored within—no app required.

The mobile flow supports WalletConnect, which includes Rainbow, Metamask, and other popular wallets.
